Just got done watching Pitch Perfect 3 and it was pretty funny. It was so good to see The Bellas again. It was as good as the first two. This is the best one out of the Pitch Perfect series. It was a great ending to a fabulous musical comedy trilogy. I give it 3 stars.

Watching the Academy Award nominated comedy Lady Bird and it is funny, witty and touching. A great coming-of-age story with heart. Great performances by Saoirse Ronan and Laurie Metcalf. Greta Gerwig did a great job directing this movie. Saoirse Ronan's best performance since Brooklyn. I give it 4 stars, two thumbs up and a snap. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone especially teens and adults.

Just watched the animated film Ferdinand and it was sweet, funny and heartwarming. This is what an animated film should be. Great characters and storyline. The most inspiring animated film I've seen this year. John Cena did a great job voicing the title character. I give it 3 stars and two thumbs up. I would highly recommend this film to anyone of all ages.

Just got done watching Jigsaw and it was gruesome, gory and heart-pounding. It was a great to see the return of a successful horror movie franchise but I wasn't impressed. The storyline was great but the suspense wasn't. It was too cliche and predictable. I give it 1 and a half star and two thumbs down. To me, this movie was straight up trash. Just as bad as Annabelle: Creation. That's all I gotta say about that.

What can I say about The Shape of Water? It's one of the best films I've seen this year. It's Edward Scissorhands meets Splash. Sally Hawkins gave an Oscar-worthy performance. She's at her best since Blue Jasmine and Happy-Go-Lucky. Great supporting performances by Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins and Octavia Spencer. This is director Guillermo Del Toro at his finest since Pan's Labyrinth. Romantic, imaginative and visually stunning. This movie took my breath away. I give it 5 stars, two thumbs up and a snap. I would highly recommend this fantasy film to anyone. If you haven't seen it yet, please do. This is one of the films you have to see before Oscar night.
Just watched the musical biopic The Greatest Showman and it was amazing, inspiring and visually stunning. Hugh Jackman was at his best since Les Miserables. This is one of those movies that will have you follow your dreams no matter who you are and no matter what you do in lofe. It had me cheering and inspired. One of the best musicals I've seen since Chicago. Very Oscar-worthy in a song-and-dance way. I give 4 stars, two thumbs up and a snap. I would highly recommend this one to anyone.
Just watched the drama Molly's Game and it was terrific and powerful. Jessica Chastain gives an Oscar-worthy performance as former skier Molly Bloom and she was brilliant as she was in Zero Dark Thirty. This movie reminded me of 21 and American Hustle. Great supportive performances by Kevin Costner and Idris Elba. A true-to-life true story unlike any other I've seen in years. I give it 4 stars. I would highly recommend it to anyone especially Jessica Chastain fans.

Just watched the dark comedic drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and it was brilliant and wonderfully acted. Great performances by Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell. It reminded me of Mystic River a little bit. The cast was so amazing in this film. It was intense and suspenseful at times but it's one hell of a film to watch. A must-see for any movie buff. This movie would be my first choice for Best Picture. I give it 5 stars, two thumbs up and a snap. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone.

The Top 50 Highest Grossing Box Office Hits of 2017. I have a feeling that the political drama The Post will join the list soon. Which movies did you enjoy watching in 2017?

Recently I watched two films starring Matt Damon and they were Downsizing and Suburbicon. Downsizing was a great sci-fi comedy with a few elements. Great Oscar-worthy performance by Hong Chau. It's a story about a man who shrinks 4 inches smaller to live large. Very exceptional and funny. I give it 3 stars and would recommend it to anyone. Suburbicon was a little bit dark and suspenseful. Great performances by Matt Damon, Julianne Moore and Oscar Issac. It deals with family values and racial tensions in the late 1950s. Very dramatic and intense. I give it 2 and a half stars.

Recently I watched the action fantasy Bright and it was action-packed, visually stunning and funny at times. Will Smith and Joel Edgerton were great in this one. It deals a lot with racism and issues we deal with in today's society. A movie like this has never been made until now. Very enjoyable and fun. I would recommend it to anyone. I give it 3 stars.
What can I say about Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle? It was amazing, funny and action-packed. Reminded me of the original one. Great performances by Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan. One of the best sequels I've seen this year. Just as great as the 1995 original classic. Great tribute to the late Robin Williams. Very modern and visually stunning. I would recommend this film to anyone. I give it 3 and a half stars.
