The Upside was a wonderful movie. Very superb and well acted. It's about a quadriplegic businessman who hires a ex-convict to take care of him and they build up a great friendship. Great performances by Bryan Cranston, Kevin Hart and Nicole Kidman. In my opinion, I was so good to see Kevin Hart to play such a serious, dramatic role and he nailed it. This was the first feel-good movie I've seen this year. I give it 4 out of 5 stars and a beautiful snap. This film is highly recommended for those who love great dramedies.

If Beale Street Could Talk was a very excellent movie. The cast was amazing. This film is based on the novel by James Baldwin and it tells the story of a young pregnant woman who struggles to prove her fiance's innocence after he's falsely accused of rape. Stephan James and Kiki Layne were brilliant as the couple. Regina King gives a well-acted performance as pregnant woman's supportive mother in the film in which she was recently nominated for an Oscar for. Writer/director Barry Jenkins did a great job bringing this novel to the big screen. Beale Street is as good as Jenkins' last film Moonlight. The screenplay was very exceptional. I give it 4 out of 5 stars and a big snap. This movie is very highly recommend for those who love great book-to-screen adaptations.

This morning the Oscar nominations were announced and the list was very surprising. The Netflix foreign language film Roma and the dark historical comedy The Favourite both have 10 nominations. The blockbuster musical drama A Star is Born and the presidential biopic Vice both have 8 nominations. This year's biggest blockbuster Black Panther have 7 nominations. Spike Lee's real-life dramedy BlacKkKlansman have 6 nominations. The comedy/drama Green Book and the blockbuster musical biopic Bohemian Rhapsody both have 5 nominations. The films that are nominated for Visual Effects are: Avengers: Infinity War, Christopher Robin, First Man, Ready Player One and Solo: A Star Wars Story. The films that are nominated for Animated Feature Film are Incredibles 2, Isle of Dogs, Mirai, Ralph Breaks the Internet and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Second Act was an excellent movie. Jennifer Lopez did her thing as Maya, a woman in her 40s who gets a second chance to be successful in life. Lopez was at her absolute best since Maid in Manhattan. The movie was very funny and heartwarming. The perfect movie for a girls night out. I really liked this movie so much that it touched my heart. This movie teaches a very valuable lesson: Go for your dreams and some people do deserve a second chance in life. I give it 3 and a half out of 5 stars and a snap. Highly recommended for those who love chick flick comedies and especially J-Lo fans.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall was a great romantic comedy. I didn't think I was gonna like it but I did. The cast was great in this film especially Jason Segel. It was outrageously funny as well. A great classic. Very enjoyable movie to watch. One of the funniest movies I've seen since The 40-Year-Old Virgin and There's Something About Mary. I give it 4 out of 5 stars and a big snap. Highly recommended for those who like raunchy romantic comedies.

Glass was a very entertaining movie to watch. It was like watching Unbreakable all over again. James McAvoy, Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson reprise their roles as Kevin, David Dunn and Mr. Glass as they end up in an insane asylum and prove to the world that superheroes exist. The suspense was intense. Great plot as well. It was also like watching a moving comic book. Director M. Night Shyalaman knocks it out of the ballpark once again. Glass is as great as his last film Split. The film had its heroic and shocking moments. I give it 4 out of 5 stars and a snap. I would highly recommend Glass to huge fans of M. Night Shyalaman's previous films as Split and Unbreakable.

Love, Simon was the most heartwarming and touching LGBT film I've seen in years. Nick Robinson gave a beautiful and outstanding performance in this film. It almost made me cry inside. This film gives certain people the courage of coming out to family and friends. The ending was very surprising to me. I give it 3 and a half out of 5 stars and a very beautiful snap. This film is very highly recommended to those who love a great love story.

A Simple Favor was a smart, sexy and seductively great movie. This movie is about a mommy vlogger who investigates the disappearance of her best friend. Great performances by Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively. Reminds me a lot of Gone Girl in a seductive and crazy way. One of the best mystery films I've seen in years. Paul Feig did an awesome job directing this movie and it's his absolute best movie since Bridesmaids. I give this movie 4 and a half out of 5 stars. I highly recommend this for those who love juicy mystery thrillers.

Holmes & Watson was a terrible movie! It wasn't even funny at all. Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly were both terrible in this one. The jokes are so uneven. To me, it's one of the worst movies I've seen this year and I'm gonna have to give it 1 out of 5 stars. The movie could've been better without the nonsense jokes.

Roma was a very touching, moving and excellent film. It was the best foreign film I've seen since Life is Beautiful. It's that kind of movie that touches the soul. Director Alfonso Cuaron did an excellent job on this movie and this is his best work since Gravity. My rating: 5 out of 5 stars. Would I highly recommend it?: Yes.

Vice was one of the most powerful movies I've seen this year. Vice is the true story of former vice president Dick Cheney. Oscar winner Christian Bale did such an amazing job playing Dick Cheney. Great job to the makeup effects artists that made Christian Bale look like Cheney. Amy Adams also gave a great outstanding performance as the vice president's supportive wife Lynne. This is director Adam McKay's best film since The Big Short. This one plays out more like a drama than a comedy but it had its funny moments. I give it 4 out of 5 stars and it's highly recommended for those who love watching political movies.

Widows was an excellent movie. It was action-packed and suspenseful. Great cast and great performances. This movie tells the story of four women who try to get back the $2 million that their husbands have stolen. Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Debicki, Cynthia Erivo and Liam Nesson lead an all-star cast in this powerful crime drama. To me, this is like Heat meets Set It Off. Oscar winning director Steve McQueen did an awesome job directing this movie. I give it 5 stars. This movie is 100% highly recommended because of the action and the cast. If you seen one smart heist movie this year, make it Widows. It will be worth watching.

The Favourite was the most historical dramedy I've seen in years. One of the best films of the year. Funny and dramatic at the same time. The film is about the relationship between Queen Anne and Sarah Churchill being threatened by the arrival of Abigail Hill, Sarah amd Abigail both fight to see who's the Queen's favourite. Reminds me of Marie Antoinette but in a funny and naughty way. Great performances by Olivia Colman, Rachel Weisz and Emma Stone. Emma Stone's performance is the best one in the film and it's her best role since La La Land. The costumes and cinematography were incredible. Yorgos Lanthimos did a wonderful directing this film. Very Oscar-worthy in so many ways. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. The Favourite is highly recommend and worth watching.
