The Favourite was the most historical dramedy I've seen in years. One of the best films of the year. Funny and dramatic at the same time. The film is about the relationship between Queen Anne and Sarah Churchill being threatened by the arrival of Abigail Hill, Sarah amd Abigail both fight to see who's the Queen's favourite. Reminds me of Marie Antoinette but in a funny and naughty way. Great performances by Olivia Colman, Rachel Weisz and Emma Stone. Emma Stone's performance is the best one in the film and it's her best role since La La Land. The costumes and cinematography were incredible. Yorgos Lanthimos did a wonderful directing this film. Very Oscar-worthy in so many ways. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. The Favourite is highly recommend and worth watching.
